Write for us

We welcome pitches that help readers understand a specific part of cricket: a law, a role, a tactical choice, a format or a detail of match play. Send proposals through the Contact page, with the subject set to editorial question.

What makes a good pitch

Name the reader’s question and the answer your piece would make clearer. A strong idea has one central point, enough context to explain it accurately and a practical way for readers to use the explanation while following the game. Tell us which format or conditions the subject depends on.

Useful boundaries

We are looking for original explainers, comparisons and carefully framed background pieces, not match reports that expire with the result. Avoid broad pitches such as cricket tactics in general; identify one decision, rule or role and explain why it deserves its own article.

Send a proposal

Use the Contact page to send a short summary, a working title and a few lines about your proposed approach. Include relevant experience only if it helps us assess the pitch; we do not require credentials. Please do not send a complete draft unless we ask for one.
