Editorial policy
Urban Cricket Journal aims to make cricket easier to understand without making claims the game cannot support. We use clear wording, distinguish rules from interpretation and correct material when we find it is wrong or incomplete.
Accuracy and context
We check explanations against the relevant laws and describe the context needed to understand them. Cricket can vary by format and playing conditions, so articles should identify those limits where they matter. We do not present opinion about tactics as settled fact, or imply that a single example explains every match.
Independence
Editorial choices are made for their value to readers seeking to understand cricket. A commercial relationship does not determine our conclusions or entitle a partner to editorial approval. We do not claim access to confidential information or first-hand testing that we do not have.
Corrections
Readers can report a possible error through the Contact page. We review specific, checkable concerns and update material when a correction is warranted; a note may explain a substantial change. A correction should make the explanation more accurate, not merely more favourable.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid or otherwise arranged partner material is clearly identified where it appears and kept distinct from editorial explanations. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; where an illustration is AI-generated, we label it so readers can distinguish it from a photograph or documentary image.
